Two men have suffered head and facial injuries after an armed gang was spotted on a busy high street.
Police were called at 5.51am today (June 28) to High Street, Hornchurch, to reports of a group of males, some armed with weapons.
Two men were found with head and facial injuries a short time after by officers, who put up a cordon in the affected area.

This was on A124 High Street which was shut both ways between Billet Lane and North Street near the Sainsbury's store, according to the AA.
No arrests have been made, police said, and a crime scene remains in place.
Bus diversions have been in place for the 165, 293, 248 and 372, according to BBC London News.
We have also contacted the London Ambulance Service to see if they attended.
