A man has been stabbed and a woman assaulted in a street brawl.
Police were called at 5.44am today (June 25) to reports of people fighting, one of whom with a knife, in Walden Avenue in Rainham.
A man in his 40s was found with a stab injury and taken to hospital.
"We await an assessment of his condition," police said.
The force added that a woman in her 30s was found injured at the scene.

"She's believed to have been assaulted and [is] receiving medical treatment," a Met Police spokesperson said.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the stabbing and assault are ongoing and crime scenes are in place.
