Hornchurch has had a variety of shops over the years, so we have taken a look back at some historic photos of the town's retailers.
From Havering Lighting in Billet Lane of the late 1980s, to a 1950s snap of Hornchurch Motors in High Street, we have rounded up an array of businesses from yesteryear.

Havering Lighting in Billet Lane in 1987
AJ Holdbrook also took this photo which shows shops at the start of Billet Lane.
Havering Lighting, behind the blue van driving past, was started by Peter Coe in 1972.
Peter was joined by his son Colin in 1978 and they expanded into the shop next door before adding a third in 1984, Havering Libraries said. When Colin retired in April 2014 the store closed.
Hornchurch Motors in High Street circa 1950
Hornchurch Motors Limited was pictured at 113 High Street around 1950.
The Hornchurch Motor Company was listed in telephone directories until 1955 and would appear to have closed then, Havering Libraries added.
