A man has been arrested after a bus driver was allegedly assaulted outside a Tesco superstore in Romford.
Police were called to Gallows Corner Tesco Extra in Bryant Avenue at 8.45am on Wednesday (June 5) to reports of an assault.
Officers found a bus driver injured at the scene.
He had allegedly been assaulted on his bus by another man, who is aged in his 30s.
The man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.
The bus driver, who is aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital.
His condition has since been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
