A man has been stabbed outside a supermarket in Chadwell Heath. 

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to High Road at 6.29pm yesterday (June 5), with reports of a stabbing. 

A section of the pavement outside the Sainsburys supermarket was pictured cordoned off with police tape.

At the scene, a 26-year-old man was found suffering from injuries and was taken to hospital. 

Social media users in the area at the time of the incident reported seeing London's Air Ambulance landing in St Chad's Park.

Enquiries into the stabbing are underway and no arrests have been made as yet.
