A children’s sports organiser has been named a finalist for a lifetime achievement award.
Giorgio Bugnatelli, Hylands Tennis Club administrator, was selected at the national Club Hub Awards in Birmingham for businesses in the children’s activity sector out of 315 applications up and down the country.
No voting was involved, with the independent judging solely on business performance, achievements — and his passion for his work.
Based at Hornchurch High School, Hylands Tennis Club offers a Learn and Play programme, competitive events and tennis camps catering to children aged four to 14.
“It is our commitment at Hylands to nurture young talent and foster a love for the sport,” Giorgio said.
“These awards show the value of children’s activities — we’ve embarked on a journey to make an impact on children’s lives through tennis.
"Here's to continuing my volunteering at Hylands for many more years."
