A free LGBTQ+ pride event is coming to Romford in June.
Kaleidoscope Pride, hosted by the Kaleidoscope group, will take place at the Mercury Mall on Saturday, June 8, from 11am until 3pm.
Launched to celebrate Pride Month, the event aims to unite and celebrate Havering’s LGBTQ+ community.
Attendees will enjoy an assortment of activities such as games, live music, a raffle and the chance to meet other community groups.
The Kaleidoscope Pride event will also provide advice and support for LGBTQ+ adults, as the group's members continue striving to create safe local spaces for the community.
Attendance is free, with any proceeds from the event’s raffle going back into supporting the LGBTQ+ community through Kaleidoscope.
Kaleidoscope has also organised a free mystery LGBTQIA+ Film Night on June 25 at Premiere Cinemas, with tickets available through Outsavvy.
In 2022, a group of creatives in Romford founded the LGBTQ+ group, to bring young queer people in the area a social space.
