The following cases were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts on Thursday, May 9, 2024:  

SEAN O’BRIEN, 36, of Kerry Road in Deptford, admitted assaulting a man in New Cross on March 26. O’Brien was given a one-year community order and told to pay £100 compensation. 

NEIL ARMSTRONG, 40, of no fixed address, admitted exposing his genitals intending that someone would see them and be caused distress in Lewisham on April 9. An arrest warrant was issued for Armstrong’s arrest after he failed to answer to bail. 

OWEN WELSH, 34, of Ringstead Road in Hither Green, admitted theft from a motor vehicle in Lewisham on May 7 and failing to provide a sample for a police drugs test the following day. Welsh was sentenced to six weeks in prison. A suspended sentence for theft from a shop was also activated, making his total prison sentence 16 weeks. 

KESTER DUNCAN, 26, of Raglan Road in Plumstead, admitted assaulting a man in Woolwich on January 29. Duncan was ordered to pay £80 compensation and a £200 fine. 

NIMA SADAT, 31, of The Mound in Eltham, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order which banned him from Woolwich Town Centre on various occasions in April and May. Sadat was jailed for 16 weeks. 

GAMAL ABDELGANI, 60, of Creek Road in Deptford, admitted possessing cannabis and drug driving in Deptford on October 5. Abdelgani was banned from driving for one year and fined £120. 

TOMASZ KOTOWSKI, 26, of Malvern Road in Thornton Heath, admitted drug driving in Lewisham on October 13. Kotowski was banned from driving for one year and fined £553. 

STEVE SIMS, 37, of Howbury Lane in Erith, admitted breaching a non-molestation order by making bank transfers with malicious references and sending multiple texts. Sims was jailed for 26 weeks as magistrates said he has a “flagrant disregard for court orders”
