An “unauthorised” event today has closed a Romford pub and attracted a "police plan".
Havering’s local policing team has said that the event is taking place today (May 3) at the Deers Rest pub in Noak Hill Road.
It is likely to have an impact on roads and transport links, the force added and urged people to avoid the immediate area.
The police have not shared details about the nature of the event.

The Recorder contacted the pub and a staff member revealed that there was an “unauthorised event” that they were made aware of.
“As a result, and in consultation with our community stakeholders, a police plan is in operation and we are shut at present”, the staff member said.
Havering Council and the Met Police are said to have collectively formed an action plan for the event.
The council has been reached out to by the Recorder for a statement.
