An investigation has been launched after Havering Town Hall was targeted by vandals.
Officers were called at around 6am today (April 29) to reports that the town hall in Main Road, Romford had been damaged and some windows broken.
The motive behind the attack is unknown.
Supt Simon Hutchison has said officers are working with the council and following up leads to identify the suspects.

“Anyone who has any information that could help should call police on 101 quoting CAD 1004/29Apr”, he added.
Havering Council has been contacted for comment.
Romford MP Andrew Rosindell condemned the "mindless vandalism" and called it a "despicable thing to do".
He said: “I hope that all the town hall staff who are based there are able to carry on their vital work for the residents of our borough.
"In situations like this, it must always be business as usual."
