An entertainment and gaming venue is reducing its opening hours to facilitate refurbishment works, including adding bumper cars to the mix.
Namco Funscape Romford will have a full refurbishment until mid-July, owner and operator Bandai Namco has confirmed.
The venue, at the Brewery shopping centre, had works begin last week to add arcade machines, bumper cars and a party room among other features.
During the refurbishment period, it will be closed on Mondays to Thursdays but open from noon until midnight Fridays to Sundays.
Bandai Namco, the publisher of popular video games including Elden Ring, Tekken and Pac-Man, aims to give the venue a fresh look.
Rob Cook, operations director at Bandai Namco Amusement Europe, said: "We can’t wait to share the new attractions we’ll be implementing at Namco Funscape Romford, providing even further fun for all family and friends."

A three-metre screen at the reception desk, the entire redecoration of the venue and a lane bar are also planned in the works.
Tenpin bowling, race car simulations and dance machines are among attractions already on offer at Namco Romford.
