An assault near a working men's club has left a man injured and requiring hospital treatment.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called at 4.56pm on Saturday (April 6) to reports of an assault in Upminster Road South in Rainham.
"We sent an ambulance to the scene and took a patient to hospital," an LAS spokesperson said.
We approached Rainham Working Men's Club for comment, near where the alleged assault was said to have taken place, but a staff member said she was not aware of the incident.

It provides social activities and societies centred around sports, including golf, cricket and football.
