A new food shop is due to open in Romford town centre this weekend after a brief delay.
Dulce Bakery and Delicatessen is replacing a former charity shop at 148 South Street after revamping the site into a mixed bakery and retail space.
A fresh signage, new storefront, electric sliding doors and a takeaway serving hatch was included in the plans.
The planning application for change of use, sent on October 27, was approved by the council on March 26.

The owner previously said that the site was to open last month but has now confirmed that it is about to launch this Saturday (April 6).
Dulce offers the “very best in eastern European food, drink and cakes”, according to its website, and has an outlet in the Brewery shopping centre.
The brand, which also has a store in Hainault, also offers celebration and handmade cakes.
