A Kinder egg pot containing cannabis led to a man's arrest in Romford.
The Metropolitan Police arrested a man, 31, on Monday (March 25), on suspicion of cannabis possession after a stop-and-search in Main Road.
The Romford Town Safer Neighbourhoods Team said he had a Kinder egg pot, usually filled with a chocolate treat, containing the drug.
They said he was spotted by "eagle eyed" officers, and posted to X, formerly Twitter.
Eagle eyed officers on foot patrol spotted a male in possession of a Kinder Egg Pot which was found to contain cannabis! Checks revealed the male was wanted for a theft totaling £8697 The male was subsequently arrested 7248EA @MPSHavering @HaveringDaily @LocalCrimeBeats

Officers also found that the 31-year-old was wanted in connection with a theft of £8,697.
The man has since been bailed in connection with the theft while the case is reviewed by the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was given a community resolution order in regard to the cannabis possession, which police said was of a small amount.
