A late night bar has reopened following a change of management, so we have taken a look inside its premises with a range of photos.

V Bar, which operates on Fridays and Saturdays, reopened last month.

Since then, incoming manager Terry Lawrence, 38, a former DJ, said customers have enjoyed interacting with the bar's signature statue on entry.

Terry said it has become a bit of a joke among people that come and to say "hello" to the statue, pictured below.

V Bar reopened shortly after nightclub Atik in Romford shut on January 15, and Terry said that had signalled a change in the nightlife sector.

Terry added that his bar, which mainly plays 80s/ 90s club classics and disco, was keen to keep nightlife going in Hornchurch.

"With some venues closing down, it's important to me to keep Hornchurch as a place people can go out, enjoy themselves and have a great night," he said in February.

"We want to try and maintain an affordable night out," Terry added.
