A gaming retailer is building a large “high-quality warehouse space” in Brentwood near to the M25.
Wayland Games, which calls itself Europe’s largest independent retailer for tabletop hobbies, revealed that it is making Goodman’s London Brentwood Commercial Park its new headquarters.
As part of the plans, it is constructing a 50,000 sq ft warehouse just three miles from junction 29 on the M25 to provide space for the company to meet growing customer demand.
A spokesperson for Wayland Games said the "high-quality" warehouse will allow it to stock more products, streamline its operations and fulfil more orders.
The building, they said, will feature a communal space for the local gaming community to meet and play their favourite games.

The mezzanine will provide office space, a dedicated production area and a new creative studio for the company’s gaming brand.
Building works are already underway, with the spokesperson adding that the warehouse unit will be sustainable and incorporate technologies such as rainwater harvesting and solar cells to help contribute to the building’s power.
Richard Lawford, managing director at Wayland Games, said construction of the new facility marks a significant moment in the company’s history.
“The purpose-built space will allow us to drive greater operational efficiencies while catering for future business growth.
"As part of our commitment to sustainability, it will also help us lower our energy use and continue to support us in reducing our carbon footprint."
