A train company that connects Essex to east London has said its services will be impacted by industrial action as train drivers are set to stage fresh strikes.

Members of the train drivers union ASLEF will partake in a rolling programme of one-day strikes from January 30 to February 5.

It will also ban overtime for nine days from January 29.

c2c bosses have since confirmed the impact the strike action will have on its services.

As a result of the strikes, there will be no c2c trains on its route on February 2, and Upminster car park will likely become full and close during the day.

c2c bosses added that there will be a reduced services between Monday, January 29, to Thursday, February 1.

There will also be reduced services between Saturday, February 3 and Tuesday, February 6.

Rob Mullen, c2c Managing Director, said: “I am really disappointed that an agreement with ASLEF hasn’t been reached.

"I am hopeful that further meetings with the unions are productive and see progress made toward concluding this challenging time for the railway.”
