A number of pubs and shops in Havering are on the market and we have looked at four of those being advertised for sale on Rightmove.
Among them are locations in Hornchurch and Harold Wood.
Last year we reported that the Travelodge hotel building in Market Place, Romford had been put up for sale and it remains on the market. The hotel chain previously confirmed it will continue to operate there.
Here are four pubs and shops listed for sale.
1. St Nicholas Avenue in Elm Park
A shop home to fishmongers Lui Foods, in Saint Nicholas Avenue, has been listed for sale on Rightmove by Knightsbridge Business Sales Limited.
Lui Foods is still operating, according to Google, and typically operates from 9am until 4.30pm.
The listing said it has "several returning customers" and "a ready stream of demand".
The premises is being sold to allow for relocation plans, it added.
2. High Street, Hornchurch
The pub building which was home to the Rising Sun, which closed its doors on June 10 in 2023, is up for sale on Rightmove.
It is entertaining offers in the region of £1.2 million and includes a first floor nightclub, according to the listing.
The pub is a three-storey mid-terraced building and includes a beer garden with around 38 covers.
3. Station Road in Harold Wood
The pub which is home to the Harold, typically open from 5pm until midnight, is also up for sale.
It sits in Station Road, opposite Harold Wood station, and the building dates back to 1868, according to its Rightmove listing.
The premises includes a trade garden with a storage area, a covered smoking solution and a car park to the back.
An appeal to redevelop the site into a cafe and flats was rejected in late 2023.
4. Lyndhurst Drive in Hornchurch
Two flats and a shop, which hosts Magnum Beer and Wine Store, in Lyndhurst Drive is up for sale on Rightmove.
The estate agent, Maybury Estates, is entertaining offers in excess of £700,000.
"Maybury Estates are delighted to offer for sale this unique investment opportunity to create three or four flats and extend the existing shop into a double unit or a separate new shop," the listing added.
The store remains open, according to Google, typically operating from 11am until 10pm.
