A man remains in a serious but stable condition after being hit by a car in Rainham following a police chase.
The Metropolitan Police today (January 24) confirmed that the man is still in hospital.
The Met previously said a car crashed with a pedestrian in New Road at around 9pm on Monday (January 22), just after they had authorised a pursuit.
It came after officers had asked the car to stop and the driver did not do so, a police spokesperson said.
