Greggs has said it is “excited” to welcome back customers to its “improved” shop in Elm Park within the next couple of weeks.
The popular high street bakery chain has temporarily shut its shop in 12/13 Broadway Parade for refurbishment.
An exact date for when the store will be reopened is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to be in the “next couple of weeks”.
The chain has recently been expanding its presence in the area, with a new store opening at Romford Tesco Extra in Roneo Corner last year.
A Greggs spokesperson said: “We're excited to be welcoming customers into our new and improved shop in Romford within the next couple of weeks.
“Returning to usual service, the shop will stock freshly prepared Greggs favourites, including its popular sausage roll, steak bake and tasty vegan alternatives.”
The chain, which was founded in 1939 in Newcastle, also opened a new branch at Canary Wharf station last year.
It has previously said it aims to open 160 new shops across the country this year.
