A restaurant could replace a shop in Hornchurch if plans are approved.
A proposal has been submitted for the internal reconfiguration of a retail shop into a restaurant at 177 Squirrels Heath Lane in Hornchurch.
The premises was formerly Avalon Spa, a massage and therapy centre, which is now permanently closed, as shown in the image captured in 2021.
Havering Council received the plans on November 22, 2023 and validated them on November 29.

A decision date has been set to February 23.
The plans also include the installation of an outside flue - a duct for smoke or excess gas - a rear door and a first-floor window size change.
Hornchurch-based applicant and agent KMDS Designs, in its superseded plans, produced a design showing a bar and kitchen space included.
Twelve tables that would seat 30 people can be seen in a layout diagram.
The plans, P1725.23, are currently undecided and the applicant has not yet specified what kind of restaurant it will be.
