Two teenagers have been arrested after an alleged spate of robberies in Romford.
The boys, 14 and 16, were arrested in Romford town centre at around 3.45pm yesterday (December 7) after a series of robberies were reported, police said.
They have been taken into police custody, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said today (January 7).
Havering Police tweeted on X, formerly Twitter, that the teens had been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

The boys, aged 16 and 14, were arrested at around 15.45hrs on 7 January after a series of robberies were reported.
They have been taken into custody.
In the year ending June 2023, the robbery rate in Havering was higher than the average robbery rate across "similar areas", according to Office for National Statistics data cited by the Met Police.
Havering was recorded as having 1.69 robberies per 1000 people, 0.6 higher than the group average, which includes Basildon, Milton Keynes, Dartford and Gravesham.
