With Christmas Day fast approaching, the spectacular festive decorations at a house in Romford are being tipped as the best in Havering.
After the Recorder shared pictures of a dazzling house on Wednesbury Road in Harold Hill on our Facebook page, several residents suggested a house on Pettits Lane in Romford was in fact the best in the borough.
The Christmas decorations on the house in Harold Hill were put up by the homeowner despite an ongoing cancer battle and were praised as "absolutely fabulous" by a visitor.
But Pettits Lane has its own proud offering, which was lauded by Facebook user Mel JJ and others.
"They do it for charity so it's great for raising money and bringing the community together at Christmas," Mel said.
He was joined in praise of the Pettits Lane home by Louise Jam and Cindy Kavecka, who commented on Facebook.
"I agree it’s amazing," said Louise. "Yes this [is] the best," added Cindy.
