A driver has been arrested after a pedestrian died following a crash in Poplar.
On December 15, police responded at 2.56am to a crash on Aspen Way at the junction with Prestons Road.
The incident involved a 29-year-old pedestrian and a white Audi RS Q3.
Paramedics from London Ambulance Service were called, but the pedestrian died at the scene.
His family is receiving support from specialist officers.
The driver, a 23-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The suspect has been released on bail, due to return in mid-March.
Police investigators are now asking the public for help.
