Plans to introduce new housing at the rear of a former pub, an extension for more dining space at a Brazilian restaurant and a new gym are among the applications submitted to the local authority over the last week.
Over 35 applications were received by Havering Council for a variety of developments in the borough this week.
We have summed up the most notable applications and included them for ease below:
- It’s proposed - P1767.23 – to demolish an existing single storey section at the rear of former The Royal Oak in North Road in the Havering-Atte-Bower ward, which shut in 2019. It is hoped to convert a section of the building to create two flats, leaving the rest of the building to potentially still be used as a public house.
- Two existing commercial units in West Park Lodge Farm, Broxhill Road, have been proposed to change into the use of two dwellings, according to this planning application: P1718.23. A third unit would be demolished along with two adjacent ancillary buildings.
- There are plans for a two-storey rear extension to 137 Park Lane, Hornchurch, and erecting a 3-bedroom terrace house with new vehicular crossover, parking and all associate amenities following demolishing an existing garage. P1773.23.
- At 182 Hainault Road, Romford, it is proposed to change the use of the property to a house of multiple occupants, with a rear extension erected. P1762.23.
- Plans are put forward to convert a single dwelling to one three-bedroom flat and one two-bedroom flat at 37 Beechfield Gardens, Romford. P1691.23.
- At Rush Green Training Ground, in Rush Green Road, Romford, there are proposals to extend the existing club building to provide a gym. P1733.23.
- Commercial space on the first and second floor of 142 to 144 South Street, Romford, could have its use change to create two new two-bedroom flats. J0042.23.
- Brazilian restaurant Braza, in 1A Arcade Place, Romford, is looking to expand its dining area with a proposed glazed front extension for semi-outdoor dining. The applicant says the extension would create a “more spacious and comfortable dining experience” and will be able to meet with demand and allow the business to “expand and evolve”. P1672.23.
