A woman who discovered a lump in her breast after learning about cancer signs on ITV's Lorraine show sang live on the show with a Grammy award winner.
Louise Thompson, 43, sang live as part of the Change + Check choir, who took to the stage with singer Joss Stone as she performed her new single Golden on the programme on November 10.
The song has been released to mark the fifth year of breast cancer awareness campaign Change + Check, which was founded by breast cancer survivor and Lorraine show producer Helen Addis.
The choir is made up of women who found their breast cancer after seeing the campaign on the show, and Golden is dedicated to Lorraine show's 33-year-old producer, Hannah Hawkins, who recently died from breast cancer.
Louise told the Recorder that she discovered a lump and was diagnosed with the ailment in 2019 after watching an item on how to spot the signs of breast cancer.
She had to undergo a mastectomy - a breast removal - to remove the cancer instead of having chemotherapy due to her other serious long-term health conditions.
She added: “It's been a long four and a half years of breast cancer (and two years ago kidney cancer) being in my life.

“We try to protect and preserve life, but as you can probably read between the lines, the Lorraine Show’s Change + Check campaign without doubt saved my life”.
Louise said she has been a part of the campaign for the past three years promoting awareness of breast cancer symptoms.
Singer Joss said the song “means a lot to her and everyone” especially as her cousin had the disease.
Producer Helen Addis, the founder of the campaign, added it was a “real pinch-me moment” to have Joss Stone sing on stage with the choir.
Net profits from downloads of Golden will be going to breast cancer charity Future Dreams.
