Police have cordoned off a road in Dagenham amidst concerns for a woman's welfare.
Met Police have blocked Baron Road today (November 8) after initially being called to a reported disturbance at a property.
A spokesperson said officers are concerned for the wellbeing of a woman who has "barricaded" herself inside.
Road closures have been put in place and the AA has reported delays, with traffic affecting Green Lane and the A1083 in both directions on Valence Avenue.
Detours for bus routes 128, 150 and 368 are in the process of being made.
According to Transport for London, the routes will be diverted or terminated earlier than usual schedules due to the police incident.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: "Police were called at 12:46hrs to reports of a disturbance at an address in Baron Road RM8.
"Officers are concerned for the welfare of a woman who has barricaded herself in the address. They are speaking to her.
"Road closures are in place."
