An appeal has been issued to find a man who allegedly stole from a car while wearing a police officer's jacket.
In a video clip shared by Met Police on X, formerly Twitter, today (November 8), a man appears to be seen taking some items from inside a parked car.
The car’s owner posted on X and said: "Somebody bearing a striking resemblance to a Met Police constable thought he would help himself to whatever he found in my unlocked car."

Havering MPS said they were “aware" of the incident and the individual concerned.
The man in the footage is “not a police officer”, they confirmed, adding that the jacket he was wearing had been stolen the previous evening.

Havering Joint Task Force are "actively" looking to find the man.
Officers have urged anyone with information to contact them immediately or report to Crimestoppers quoting reference 422EA.
