Transport for London (TfL) has launched an investigation into a crash involving a double decker bus and a car in Barking.
Facebook users posted a series of photos and a video of a damaged EL2 bus following the incident.
TfL has launched an investigation into the reported crash, which one commenter said "sounded like a bomb went off".
A TfL spokesperson said: “We are aware of an incident of a car colliding with a bus in Barking on Monday 30 October.
"Thankfully no serious injuries were reported, we understand this may have been distressing for those involved and we have support available for anyone affected by this incident.
"An investigation is underway and we are working with the bus operator to establish what happened.”
The incident is said to have occurred at around 8pm in Longbridge Road.
One Facebook commenter said: "I went to check everyone was ok as I live opposite and I heard the crash, it sounded like a bomb went off."
London Fire Brigade also attended the incident and a spokesperson said: "Firefighters from Barking Fire Station responded to reports of a road traffic collision on Longbridge Road in Barking.
"The brigade was first called at 2047, and remained on scene until 2103."
