A dad said his kids are "afraid" after he suffered injuries in an alleged racist attack in Harold Hill.
Ali Mashhadi told the Recorder that he was rushed to Queens Hospital in Romford following the reported incident in Retford Close.
Metropolitan Police were called to the road shortly after 1pm on Monday, October 23 to reports of a racially aggravated assault.
Officers attended and arrested a 27-year-old man at the scene.
Ali reportedly suffered a fractured nose and numerous other facial injuries.
A father-of-three, he said his kids were now "so afraid" after the alleged attack.
A spokesperson for Met Police said that Ali is being supported by officers.

The arrested man has been bailed whilst enquiries continue. The spokesperson added that the police are not looking for any other people in connection with their investigation.
They said: “We do not tolerate any form of abuse and any allegations of hate crime will be treated robustly.”
