Halloween lovers were treated to a free “spooktacular” event in the town centre over the weekend.
Romford BID transformed Market Place and South Street into a Halloween “extravaganza” on Saturday (October 28).
Stilt walkers mingled with visitors to the town centre while attendees could be turned into their favourite Halloween character for free by the BID’s face-painters in Market Place.
There was also a free “freaky maze of terror ride” at the top of the market in front of Tollgate House and other Halloween inspired fairground rides in South Street.
Romford BID also offered lots of sweet treats and various "spooky selfie stations".
Speaking before the event, Julie Frost, Romford BID Director said: “We’re so eager to welcome Romford residents and visitors to our free Halloween extravaganza on Saturday (October 28).
“Halloween has grown massively in popularity in the UK so it’s only right that we celebrate this special day in a big way.
“This promises to be a really spooktacular occasion with our special scary guests, face painters, rides, selfie opportunities and sweet treats – we’re sure it will get everyone in the spirit of Halloween ahead of the spookiest night of the year!”
