A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a car crashed into a wall late last night.
Metropolitan Police were called to Suttons Avenue in Hornchurch at around 10pm yesterday (October 27).
It had been reported that a car had collided with a wall in the street.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while unfit due to drugs and assaulting an emergency services worker.
Police said he was also taken to hospital after the crash “as a precaution”.
A spokesperson for the force said that enquiries into the circumstances continue.
