A former Wetherspoon pub on a busy high street could be about to have new occupants.
The World's Inn, in South Street, is "under offer" according to the website of estate and lettings agent Savills.
This comes after the Wetherspoon pub stopped trading on April 16.
"It's under offer but we need to exchange and then get the landlord's consent," a Wetherspoon spokesperson confirmed yesterday (October 19).
The World's Inn has been on the market since and the advertised rent is £120,000 a year, according to the Savills listing.
Nearby Wetherspoon pub The Moon and the Stars, also in South Street, remains open.

The World's Inn contains an outside beer terrace and is close to Slug & Lettuce, Yates and nightclub ATIK.
It is a three-storey building with tables and chairs for 150 customers, according to Savills' listing.
An existing premises licence allows the sale of alcohol until 12am from Sunday to Wednesday, until 1am on Thursday and 2am on Friday and Saturday, Savills added.
