A man is in a “serious condition” in hospital after suffering a heart attack on a motorway.
Essex Police was called to M25 between Junction 27 at the Theydon Interchange and Junction 28 at Brentwood at around 7.50am this morning (October 13).
A spokesperson for the force said that no crash took place and that the man was subsequently rushed to hospital by East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS).
The ambulance service confirmed that the man suffered a cardiac arrest. His condition has been described by police as “serious”.

An EEAS spokesperson said: "Two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and a response car from the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
"An adult man was transported by road to Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital for treatment.”
The M25 reopened at around 8.40am after the clockwise carriageway was closed following the incident.
Images from National Highways showed long queues on one carriageway of the motorway.
