A man was rushed to a major trauma centre after he was hit in a crash between two cars this morning.
The Metropolitan Police were called to South Street in Romford at around 5.10am to reports of a collision between two cars and a pedestrian.
London Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance to the scene.
Medics treated a man, believed to be in his 20s, before rushing him to a major trauma centre.
A Met Police spokesperson has confirmed that the man's injuries are non-life threatening or life changing. His next of kin have been informed by police.
No arrests have been made into the incident so far.
South Street was shut between Oldchurch Road and Brentwood Road for hours due to the incident.
Part of South Street still appears to be closed on AA Maps. The Recorder has asked police for an update.
