Three men have been charged with grievous bodily harm and affray following an assault in the town centre.
Police confirmed today (October 8) that three men in their 20s have been charged with grievous bodily harm after an assault at around 3.40am on South Street in Romford yesterday (October 7).
The men are due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Monday.
A man, 20, had been taken to hospital following the incident where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.
There was no weapon involved, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
St Alban's ward in Romford, which contains South Street, has seen a general decrease in reported crimes in recent months.
Reported offences dipped from 90 in July 2023 to 79 in August.
Violence and sexual offences, as well as anti-social behaviour, were the two most reported crimes in August.
There were 24 violence and sexual offences reported in August, and 20 anti-social behaviour incidents registered that month.
