A man was left "shaken up" and with facial injuries after he was assaulted in the street.
Metropolitan Police were called at around 4.50pm on Thursday (September 28) to Wood Lane, Dagenham by the victim to report the incident.
The man, in his 40s, informed the police that he was “attacked by an unknown man following a disagreement”.
A spokesperson for Met Police said that the alleged attacker fled the scene in a black Ford Fiesta afterwards.
The victim, they said, received facial injuries and attended hospital immediately.

A taxi driver from West Ham claimed on X, formerly Twitter, that he found the injured man "shaken up" and with a “deep cut” on the top left of his eye in Rush Green Road.
Officers have urged anyone with information about the assault to call them on 101 quoting reference CAD5484/28SEP.
