A man has been rescued after he fell from the roof of an historic country house.
Firefighters were called to Kelvedon Hall in Kelvedon Hatch, a village near Brentwood, at 11.23am on Monday (September 18).
On arrival, the crews found that the man had fallen from the roof when he was checking the bell tower.

The firefighters worked closely with the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to safely free the man while monitoring his condition.
Station manager Richard Green said: “As he had fallen in between two slopes on the roof, we used our aerial ladder platform to rescue him and used stretchers to bring him down to safety.”
The man was extracted and left with the HART by 1.28pm that day.
