A pub has reopened with a brand-new look after a major three-week refurbishment.
The Optimist Tavern, found on Hacton Lane in Upminster, was closed for three weeks as it went through a complete transformation.
Pub chain Ember Inns has said the new design is “brighter” and “fresher”, with refreshed bar, new soft furnishings and improved dining area.
In addition to its fixed-price lunch and dinner menu, the pub will now offer a wide range of freshly cooked dishes including posh fish and chips, classic beef burgers, steaks, and roasts every Sunday.
Anne Power, general manager of the pub, said: “The level of transformation we’ve had is amazing and both the whole team and I are incredibly excited to reveal the Optimist Tavern’s new look to our guests.
“Whether you’re looking for a get together with friends or somewhere to unwind by a crackling fireplace, our pub is ready to welcome guests, both new and old, to enjoy our brand-new look — but with the same cosiness it’s always had.”
