A Rainham man has been arrested after a pedestrian was seriously injured in an alleged hit-and-run crash.
Essex Police were called shortly before 9.10am on Sunday (August 27) after a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Glebe Road, Chelmsford.
The pedestrian, a man, was left with serious injuries but a spokesperson for the force said his injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.

Police said the vehicle allegedly did not stop at the scene and it was found in a car park in Chelmsford an hour later.
A 22-year-old man from Rainham was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, failing to stop, driving under the influence, and being concerned in supplying a controlled drug.
He has since been released on bail while the enquiries continue.
