Readers have reacted to the news that Romford will soon be getting its first Pret A Manger.
Yesterday (August 25), the Recorder ran an article about The Liberty shopping centre in Romford housing the town's first Pret A Manger eatery.
The Romford Pret is set to open this September next to bookshop Waterstones and music and entertainment retailer HMV.
Our readers have had mixed reactions to this announcement.
Romford's Nick Chapman said: "Good to see a unit being used and not empty."
He was joined in praise by Matt Hill, who said: "I have the pret subscription so [it is] very useful."
But not all punters were convinced.
Trevor Robinson commented: "Would rather it was an independent local outlet rather than some billionaires cash cow."

Lauren Rachel Jones echoed Trevor's sentiments and said Romford was already full of chain establishments such as Greggs.
"I’d rather support local independent business instead of all these chain shops," she said.
Tom Stobbart, Liberty centre manager, had said he was delighted to welcome Pret to the shopping complex.
