A man suffered multiple injuries after a violent brawl reportedly involving baseball bats in Rainham.
Metropolitan Police were called to Upminster Road South at about 3.38pm on Sunday (August 20) following reports of a fight involving a number of people.
Those involved in the brawl, the officers were told, were in possession of weapons including baseball bats.
Officers attended the scene, but the people had left before they arrived.
Officers traced a victim to a hospital who had reportedly been assaulted during the incident.

A spokesperson for Met Police said that the man had a head injury, and “multiple cuts and bruises to his body”.
He has since been discharged from hospital, they added.
The spokesperson also revealed that no arrests have been made but that enquiries are ongoing.
Officers are keen to speak with witnesses who saw the incident.
Video footage on social media appears to show a person being beaten outside a café.
