A baby has been found dead by police at a property in Harold Hill.
Police were called at around 7.40pm on Tuesday (August 22) to an address in Mimosa Close, Harold Hill.
Concerns about the welfare of a baby had been reported to them, a Met Police spokesperson said.
Upon their arrival, officers found the body of a baby at the scene.

The spokesperson said that the baby’s death is being treated as unexpected at this time.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause.
A crime scene remains in place and images on social media showed a police cordon behind Straight Road in Romford.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
