A man from Romford has said he is “excited” and “thrilled” to feature in a new Channel 4 reality show.
Bobby Izzard, 32, is one of the contestants on the upcoming series of Selling Super Houses, a show where eight aspiring agents compete to sell prime properties across London for celebrity developer Paul Kemsley (nicknamed PK).
Barking-born Bobby had previously worked at Savills as a community manager for a few years, but being a real estate agent was something he had never done before.
He told this paper that he was approached for the show on his Instagram page and, after a few interviews with the casting producers, was offered the role.
He said: “I think they were looking specifically for people who did not have much real estate experience effectively.
“It sets us up to learn how to potentially do the job.”
But this is not Bobby’s first foray into the world of entertainment. He had also briefly been a cast member at Disneyland Paris, playing Darth Vader and Chewbacca for their Star Wars show.

At the age of 18, he featured in a commercial for the Sun newspaper that was made to the tune of Annie the musical.
But Bobby and his loved ones are now “thrilled” for his television debut.
He added: “I think growing up in Essex, you know what reality TV is like but being on the other side of the camera was totally different to what I expected and it was very, very fun but also very, very tense.”
The show, he said, was filmed last year when he got the chance to learn a few tricks of the real estate trade under PK.
He said: “The show is a competition format. I feel like you get into it very, very quickly and suddenly, you're very invested.
“It was quite emotional at times. I think you will see me crying at one point during the series.”
But being put together in a room with other contestants who are vying for the prize was a challenge Bobby had to overcome.
He revealed: “I like to think I'm quite a big character and it was hard when you go in and there's eight of us overall.
“So you are trying to work out where you fit in a different environment. But it was overall a great opportunity. I got to meet some amazing people, including PK and his wife Dorit Kemsley.”
Bobby said he is waiting “anxiously” for the show to come out and is unaware what bits from their shoot are going to be used.
He added: “My family and friends we are all very excited and anxious too. We don’t know what it is going to look like. But I am going to hold a viewing party when it releases."
Episode 1 of Selling Super Houses will be aired on Channel 4 on August 29 at 9pm.
