A horror weekend across London saw three people stabbed and two people found dead.
This only includes incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on.
The weekend of August 12 saw a string of incidents in Clapham, Hayes, Camden, and South Woodford.
Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police.
Man found stabbed to death in London multiple occupancy home
A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in a home in Hayes.
Krzysztof Baran was found unresponsive at a multi-occupancy house in Nine Acres Close at 11am on August 12.
The 40-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family has been informed and is being supported by officers.
A post-mortem examination, which was carried out on August 13, gave the cause of death as a stab wound.
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
He remains in custody at a west London police station.
Police issue warning over drugs after elderly man found dead and two left in hospital
Police have issued a warning to drug users after an elderly man was found dead and two men were left in hospital.
Officers were called to Arlington Road in Camden Town on August 12 at 4.15pm, after reports that a man in his early 70s had been found dead.
The death is being treated as unexpected, officers found drugs paraphernalia at the address.
The force is currently in the process of contacting the man’s next of kin.
The death has triggered Metropolitan Police to issue a warning over illegal substances, as the London Ambulance Service were called 20 minutes later to reports of two men taken ill a short distance away in Cubitt Street, between King’s Cross and Farringdon.
The men were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
It is believed that both men had taken heroin.
No arrests have been made.
Man’s hands slashed and head bashed by group in South Woodford
A man in his 30s had his hands slashed and his head bashed as a group of men stole his phone and wallet.
The incident happened in George Lane, near South Woodford station on August 13 at 4.25am.
Officers attended and found the man with a slash wound to his hand and head injuries.
He was rushed to hospital but was found to have non-life-threatening or life-changing injuries.
Initial police enquiries suggest the man was assaulted by a group of four men who stole his phone and wallet.
No arrests have been made.
Two in hospital after being stabbed in homophobic attack in Clapham
Two men have been taken to hospital after being stabbed in a homophobic attack in Clapham.
At around 10.15pm on August 13, two men stood outside of a nightclub were approached by a man who attacked them with a knife who then ran away.
Both men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were taken to hospital and have since been discharged.
Enquiries are ongoing to locate and arrest the suspect and police are treating the incident as a homophobic attack.
