An image shows the aftermath of a van that was crushed on its front after hitting a pedestrian overpass.
The blue van was badly damaged after driving into the overpass over the A12 by Petits Lane North in Romford yesterday afternoon (August 11).
Police cordoned off the section of the crash, with multiple ambulances and paramedics at the scene.
There was heavy traffic in the area in the early afternoon while the section was closed off and emergency services attended.
It is understood that the driver had non life-threatening injuries from the incident.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said they could not provide any further information about the incident.
