A man has been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences near a supermarket in Romford.
Armed officers yesterday (August 10) stopped a vehicle in Brentwood Road, Gidea Park at 11.40am.
After the stop, a man was arrested having been wanted for drugs offences, the Met Police said.
Social media commenters reported seeing police outside the Co-op supermarket in the same road.
Sandra Middleton asked on Facebook: "Has anyone got any idea about what's happening in Brentwood Road Co-op?
"A lot of police."

Metropolitan Police carried out the stop after another police force had been following the vehicle in relation to a firearms incident.
The car was seized by police for unrelated driving offences.
