A video has been shared on social media showing a lorry crash into a bridge on the A13 near Rainham.
The road was closed in both directions for hours after the incident near Wennington interchange at around 12pm yesterday (August 8).
No injuries were reported, but Essex Police said the lorry damaged part of the bridge.
Both Essex Police and Met Police were called to the scene, alongside London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service.

The crash resulted in congestion and delays of more than an hour until the road was reopened later in the evening.
Footage from the incident shared on social media now shows the dramatic moment when the lorry crashes into the bridge.
The damage to the bridge has been reported to National Highways, an Essex Police spokesperson said. No arrests have been made so far.
