Firefighters were called to a partial roof collapse at a shop and flats in the early hours of the morning.
London Fire Brigade was called to Hoe Street in Walthamstow shortly after 3.45am this morning (July 27).
A total of 11 people had to be evacuated from flats inside the building after the roof partially collapsed.
Firefighters used a 25-metre cordon to block the road between The Bakers Arms and Granville Road while they attempted to make the scene safe.
Part of the roof fascia and parapet on the first floor of the building had collapsed.
Waltham Forest Council said that the crumbling roof caused debris to block the street.
Police confirmed that no injuries were reported following the incident. The brigade left the scene shortly after 5.15am.
In total, one engine from Walthamstow fire station and three fire rescue units from Edmonton, Croydon and Heston attended the collapse.
