A woman suffered a head injury and had her bag stolen outside a busy supermarket.
Police were called to reports of the incident at 5.49pm on Saturday (July 22) outside Aldi in Marlborough Road, Romford.
The suspect stole a bag from the woman's trolley and went to drive off in a small red van, it is alleged.
The woman tried to prevent the van from driving away and fell to the ground, police said.
She was treated by London Ambulance Service at the scene and taken to hospital.
Her injuries were not life threatening or life changing.

The man was described as a slim white man in his 30s with black hair and a beard, wearing a dark t-shirt.
No arrests have been made.
